WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS Pastor Sue
OPENING PRAYER
Loving God, you created us, just the way we are. And you send us forth on adventures. Some of our experiences are exhilarating; others bring us low. We carry them all within us, and some on our exterior. Through every change, you remain by us, guiding us to the joy of wholeness; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

PASTORAL PRAYER & THE PRAYERS OF ALL
THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
THE GIVING OF OUR LIVES TO GOD
OFFERTORY Deep River – Spiritual, arr. Marianne Kim
*THE DOXOLOGY
Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
Praise God, all creatures here below;
Praise God above, ye heavenly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.*THE PRAYER OF DEDICATION
Almighty God, you have given us so much. Accept these gifts we bring, and use them through your Church to repair what is broken with the beautiful glue that only you can provide; in Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
HOLY COMMUNION
PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Holy God, you gifted us with the ability to think and feel. Yet sometimes we become overwhelmed, and struggle under the strain of disappointment, despair, and delusion. Too often we hide our struggles, afraid of what others might think. Too often we shame ourselves and others for being less-than-perfect. Help us, Healing God. Move us one step at a time toward greater care for one another; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
WORDS OF ASSURANCE
Pastor: Hear this good news: through Jesus Christ, we are accepted. No. Matter. What. Thanks be to God! Amen.
GREAT THANKSGIVING
Pastor: The Lord be with you!
People: And also with you!
Pastor: Lift up your hearts
People: We lift them up to God.
Pastor: Let us give thanks to our Sovereign God
People: It is right to give our thanks and praise.
Pastor: It is right … and join their unending hymn:
People: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.
Pastor: Holy are you … as we proclaim the mystery of faith.
People: Christ has died; Christ is risen; Christ will come again.
Pastor: Pour out your Holy Spirit … offer you this bread & cup.
*Giving the Bread and Cup
All who love the Lord are welcome at our table. An usher will let you know when it is your turn to step into the center aisle & come to the front of the church. The communion bread will be dropped into your cupped hands, then a cup of grape juice will be offered. After you drink, drop the cup in the basket. (If you would like to kneel at the rail to pray, please go to the far end so that others will not be eating or drinking nearby). Then return to your seat by the side aisle.
WE GO FORTH TO SERVE GOD AND OTHERS
