Purpose

The organized unit of the United Women in Faith shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of missions through participation in the Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church.

The Hampton United Women of Faith meet monthly on the 2nd Wednesday at 7:00 pm in Carter Hall located on the first floor of the church.  Meetings are held January – June and September – December.

In addition to the business meeting,  there is also an educational program each month and delicious refreshments.

 

United Methodist Women also have an Afternoon Circle Group that meets on the 4th  Monday of the month (3rd Monday in May)   1:00 pm- 3:00 pm.  There are no meetings in June, July, August or December.  DUE TO COVID THIS HAS BEEN PUT ON HOLD 

Bingo is held at Oceanside Nursing Home on the 4th Wednesday each month year around.  It is held from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.  UMW provides the prizes along with some volunteers to help the residents in seeing, hearing, or understanding the numbers called.  It’s a fun time, and volunteers are always welcome! DUE TO COVID THIS HAS BEEN PUT ON HOLD

 

Craft Workshops (1:00 pm – 3:00 pm), led by Chris Gies and Joyce Newcomb have returned!  These workshops are held  on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays.

The group is always interested in craft ideas.  If you are interested  in sharing a craft, or want to come to the workshops,  please contact the church office and the message will be provided to Chris and Joyce.
